2012 New Year's Resolution - "Get a Life" by Loretta Laroche

I thought it might be fun to think about some New Years’ resolutions that might be a little bit more unique and quirky. I don’t know about you but I’m tired of the same old same old : lose weight, change jobs, stop smoking, exercise, be more assertive and on and on. Let’s face it, if we were really interested in any of the aforementioned, we wouldn’t have to wait for January first to start. But hey, many of us like to procrastinate so the first of January has become a great target date for those who can seduce themselves into believing that the first of the year contains a magical catalyst for change. Sandestin Golf And Beach Resort's Top Ranked Tennis Center Announces New Serve2Cure Tennis Tournament This October  

Proceeds to Benefit Breast Cancer Patients in Need

DESTIN, FL, Sept. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort today announced its new Serve2Cure Tennis Tournament to be held this October 1 at the Sandestin Tennis Center in Destin, FL.

The goal of this new breast cancer fundraising tournament will be to assist underserved breast cancer patients with much needed support through the Breast Cancer program at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.

A new path is being paved as the Sandestin Tennis Center leads the way with its commitment and dedication to breast cancer awareness and support for individuals in need.

"The passion of the tennis staff combined with loyal guests and members make this a winning cause and effort," said Chris Petty, director of Sandestin Tennis. "We are playing for our mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, wives, best friends and neighbors."

Players and guests alike are invited to participate in a variety of fun filled activities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 1. The event will include breakfast, men and women round robin tournament play, silent auction items, lunch and much more.

Voted one of the top tennis resorts in the United States by Tennis Magazine, the Sandestin Tennis Center is known on Florida's Emerald Coast as a leader in tennis instruction and tennis programs.

This inaugural Serve2Cure Tennis Tournament is co-sponsored by (NBC) WJHG-TV.

Sandestin's team of professionals brings more than 70 years of experience to the courts.  The professional and animated staff keeps active players busy year-round with daily activities and a variety of special events.
